With a career spanning Hollywood, the UK, and international markets, Marcus has successfully developed, produced, and financed projects that blend compelling storytelling with smart financial structuring.
His journey in the industry began in Los Angeles, where he worked as a staff producer on the hit television series In Living Color for 20th Century Fox Television. This early experience gave him a deep understanding of high-level studio production. His work soon expanded to directing and producing media coverage for major Hollywood blockbusters, collaborating with stars such as Tom Cruise, Will Smith, and Anthony Hopkins.
In the UK, Marcus became a sought-after director for music videos and commercials before transitioning into feature filmmaking under the mentorship of the legendary Richard Attenborough. He wrote, produced, and directed his first feature film, The Heavy, a multi-million-dollar thriller featuring an all-star cast, including Christopher Lee (Lord of the Rings), Vinnie Jones (Gone in 60 Seconds), and Stephen Rea (V for Vendetta). The film was globally distributed by Lionsgate, reinforcing his reputation in international cinema. He later produced Zero Tolerance, an action drama starring Scott Adkins, also released by Lionsgate in the U.S.
Marcus’s expertise extends beyond traditional filmmaking into large-scale international productions and documentary series. He was the creator and driving force behind World at Risk, an ambitious investigative documentary series that took him across the globe, collaborating with world-leading experts in geopolitics, security, and humanitarian crises. The series provided unprecedented insights into emerging global threats, requiring Marcus and his team to navigate high-risk environments and gain exclusive access to restricted locations.
His work in conflict zones extended further with The Contractors, a gripping documentary capturing the reality of private military contractors working in war-torn regions. While embedded with security teams providing humanitarian aid in Iraq, Marcus survived harrowing encounters, including an attack that nearly cost him his life. His firsthand documentation of these experiences shed light on the unseen dangers and sacrifices of those operating in the shadows of war.
Beyond directing and producing, Marcus is a key player in international film financing, specializing in securing UK tax incentives and structuring financing deals that maximize returns for investors. Currently, he is producing and financing multiple high-budget projects, including Wolfland, a groundbreaking genre film starring Pierce Brosnan.
